# Feature and compatibility comparison

> Compare editing features and file compatibility across Univer, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Miro, Airtable, Acrobat, and more. Covers spreadsheets, documents, slides, canvases, relational tables, PDFs, and charts.

Compare selected editing features and file import/export capabilities with similar products. This page does not cover the full Univer Office SDK.

<https://univer.ai/compare/>

The open-source edition includes only the frontend editors, not server components. Its formula engine has lower performance than the commercial edition.

Information updated in October 2026. The comparison covers built-in features, excluding separate external products and add-ons. Univer includes the full Office SDK and optional modules; some features require server components.

Supported means the listed task can be completed. Partially supported means limitations apply; see the cell notes. Not supported means the compared version does not offer the feature.

AI functions, assistants, and generative features are excluded. Import/export support does not guarantee identical content, fonts, or calculation results. Test complex files with your own samples.

## Charts

Univer Charts can be used as a standalone SDK. All Univer products use the same chart engine and support the chart types listed here.

Compares the Univer Charts SDK, Excel for Microsoft 365 on Windows, and Google Sheets, including its official chart API. Only chart types are compared, not formatting, axes, or interactions. Images, cell color scales, and separate add-ons are not counted as built-in charts. Partial support notes describe available combinations or approximations. All examples use sample data.
